Seen from the sky, the archipelago is a rectangle that has its main island in the upper right corner, which corresponds to the northeast, this is called El Gran Roque. Living there for the people of the locals, besides being almost all offers of accommodation in lodges available to the visitor, there are three dive shops and other services and local authorities, as the seat of Inparques and Guard post National.
The archipelago has 42 keys, 300 sand banks, shoals, and small patch reefs, also has atoll structure protected by two main reef barriers (South and East) to protect the open sea and the tide, creating an internal bay current calm, clear waters and a fascinating biodiversity.
