Villa Caracol

Barefoot Luxury- Villa Caracol -

You will be met at the landing strip by the 'porter' who will take your bags off the plane and walk you across the sand to the Villa Caracol. The Villa is bright and modern but can be warm at night. The best way to cool down is to relax on the roof terrace and count the stars.

You will be greeted by the owner who will sort out any boat excursions for you. This is highly recommended for a day trip - take lots of sun block though! The meals at the Villa are superb with very friendly service (even the 5am breakfast when we had to catch our flight out!). The room was pretty basic but very clean and modern. No sign of tvs or phones etc thankfully.

The boat excursion around the islands is a great way to spend a day in Los Roques. You will be provided with a cool box including drinks and lunch. Umbrellas and seats are also provided for your afternoon on the beach.

Unfortunately due to a time change on our flight we had only 2 nights and 1 full day on the island. Also, I was travelling with a friend but I would recommend a trip like this for a honeymoon (or at least part of it).

Ideal for a lazy, chilled out time.
